In this video, Fox & Friends interviews pro-Trump pastor Robert Jeffress at 5:41 AM. It’s dark, there is a pickleball referee on site, and there are cheerleaders.
I also learned that First Baptist Church is known locally as the “Baptist Bellagio.” Interesting. Also, W.A. Criswell loved to bowl.
Kid Rock was there.
Jeffress, wearing a sports jacket and sneakers, took the court:
Jeffress said that he just took-up pickleball the day before the filming. He appears to have a dragon on his paddle. Is that a subtle reference to the end times? The Book of Revelation? The Book of Daniel? Steve Doocy of Fox is sporting the “Hellbender” model. The cheerleaders look tired:
Alan Noble may have had the line of the day:
As for me, I am not sure what to say. This is one of those stories that you just post and then let sit for a while. What say ye Current commentators?
I love Pickleball, and understand why it’s addicting. When I saw Aaron Rupar’s tweet about Jeffries and Kid Rock playing this week, my response would be similar to Alan Noble’s “I give up.” How soon will it be before Trump also takes up the sport to reach the middle/upper class folks who spend their free time playing Pickleball? I’m sure he’l be the absolutely best player ever in no time. Probably already is.
