Unfamiliar with the term court evangelical? Read this.
It is worth noting that Trump said nothing about evangelicals and very little about the moral issues they deem important during his speech last night.
I did not see many court evangelicals at Trump’s 2024 presidential announcement last night at Mar-a-Lago, but there were some in attendance. For example, Eric Metaxas and Mike Lindell were there:

I am eager to see how many of the old court evangelicals will ride the Trump wave again in 2024. I am guessing a lot of them might back another candidate in the primary, but if Trump wins they will be right back on the old Trump train. Right now most of them are pretty quiet:
Jenna Ellis:
Robert Jeffress: Silent so far.
Johnnie Moore: Silent so far.
Jentezen Franklin: Silent so far.
Gary Bauer seems happy:
Tony Perkins: Silent so far.
Hmmm!:
John Hagee: Silent so far.
Jack Graham: Silent so far.
James Dobson: Silent so far.
James Robison: Silent so far.
Franklin Graham: Silent so far.
Mike Huckabee:

Notice how Metaxas misquoted one of the most well-known verses in the Bible, Romans 8:28. Also rips it out of context which focuses on the sovereign love and irrevocable calling of God through Christ directed towards His elect. It is about our having been called to His purpose (singular), not to a bunch of purposes. But for a man who missed the boat completely in his analysis of the German church before and during Hitler, I shouldn’t be surprised.
I’m not surprised by anything he says anymore. I just try to curate it so future generations can take note. Metaxas seems to have lost all capacity for critical thinking. He sings one note and that one note lands him the big bucks.
