How Taylor Swift can save democracy

OK, Taylor endorsed Kamala. That’s a start.

But if Swift really wants to make a difference she can act on her endorsement. Why not use her great wealth to create a pro-Harris super Pac in her home state of Pennsylvania? Or maybe create multiple super PACs–one for each major swing state. She could also hit the campaign trail. Taylor says she wants people to do their research on the issues. She said she reads and watches everything she can about the candidates and their policy proposals. That’s great. But what if Swift found a way to bring others into her circle of “reading” and “watching?” Why not use her platform and money to educate people about the candidates or help people understand the meaning of democracy and how Trump undermines it at virtually every turn. When you have that much cash on hand the possibilities are endless.

Come on, Taylor. Put your money where your mouth is!
