Re: Jack Hibbs and William Federer- Did Federer seriously quote Mencken in defense of evangelical politics? Quite convenient to leave out what followed: “Power is what all messiahs really seek: not the chance to serve. This is true even of the pious brethren who carry the gospel to foreign parts.” Furthermore, did Hibbs really mean it when he called this gross neglect of context (and footnotes) “incredible documentation?”
