What a 2025 Trump cabinet might look like

John Fea   |  December 8, 2023

Axios is reporting that Trump is already considering cabinet appointments.

For Vice-President, Trump is considering Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, Arkansas governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate and election denier Kari Lake, South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, Florida representative Byron Donalds, and Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. Melania Trump wants Tucker Carlson to be her husband’s running mate.

Stephen Miller, the nativist Trump speechwriter, could be Trump’s Attorney General. He was the guy behind the Trump family separation policy on the Mexican border Yes–this guy:

Steve Bannon, the alt-right radio host, could be Chief of Staff.

Jared Kushner as Secretary of State?

More here.

Of course all of these appointments would need to get confirmed by the Senate. Would the upper house support Stephen Miller as Attorney General? I doubt it.

This Axios report gives us a glimpse into just how incompetent and ideologically-driven another Trump administration could be.
