Christianity Today announces 2022 book awards

John Fea   |  December 14, 2021

We are familiar with Christianity Today book awards here at Current. Our editor, Eric Miller, won the award in the History/Biography category in 2011 for Hope in a Scattering Time: A Life of Christopher Lasch.

Some good historians made the cut this year:

  • Aaron Griffith, a historian at Whitworth University, won the History & Biography category for God’s Law and Order: The Politics of Punishment in Evangelical America. (Listen to our podcast interview with Griffith here).
  • Arlin Migliazzo, a historian at Whitworth University, won an award of merit in the History & Biography category for Mother of Modern Evangelicalism: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Mears.
  • Beth Allison Barr, a historian at Baylor University, won an award of merit in the History & Biography category for The Making of Biblical Womanhood: How the Subjugation of Women Became Gospel Truth. (Listen to our podcast interview with Barr here).
  • Robert Tracy McKenzie, a historian at Wheaton College, won an award of merit in the Politics & Public Life category for We the Fallen People: The Founders and the Future of American Democracy. (Listen to our podcast interview with McKenzie here).

Congratulations to all the winners. You can read about them here.
