Does not matter what the very effective and needed at the time Prez Reagan thinks about Tariffs. Pres DJT uses the idea of tariffs as a

Hammer, on the anvil of business.

Whether you think, it is dangerous to engage in even the threat game, ala- WSJ, DJT makes it work.

I believe Pres DJT is serious about exploring External taxes ala-tariffs, over Internal Income taxes.

Since Current last week tried to claim that Reagan was a Nazi or at least a Nazi sympathizer, why should its readers care about his views on tariffs?

Nothing about being a Nazi or a Nazi-sympathizer automatically disqualifies someone from understanding economics.

Of course, Current came nowhere close to claiming that about Reagan, but, still.
