An evangelical farmer and Presbyterian pastor from Butler County, Pennsylvania is voting for Kamala Harris on November 5. As a farmer, he takes environmental stewardship seriously. So does Harris. As a pastor, he believes it is important to love his neighbors. Harris, he says, believes the same thing. He does not agree with everything Harris stands for (when evangelicals say this it is usually code for abortion or matters of sexual identity), but he does share her commitment to “justice, fairness, and freedom.” At the end of the piece at LancasterOnline, we learn that the author, Lee Scott, is a director for Evangelicals for Harris.
I am not as excited about Harris as Lee Scott seems to be. But I will be casting my vote for her in November because, as The Atlantic recently put it: “Electing her and defeating him is the only way to release us from the political nightmare in which we’re trapped and bring us to the next phase of the American experiment.”

Donald Trump is trying to reach evangelical voters through something called the “Believers for Trump” campaign. Here is a description:
Believers for Trump is a coalition motivated to engage with our communities and congregations to spread the word about President Trumpās positive vision for religious liberty and our country. People of faith are rallying around President Trumpās campaign because during his presidency our shared values were defended. Under Biden, members of our communities have been prosecuted for defending their beliefs and religious institutions have been compelled to court to defend our constitutional rights. In contrast, President Trump secured the nomination of three Supreme Court justices to defend our religious liberties, provided equal protections to people and businesses of faith, and made decisive actions to promote life. By announcing our support for President Trump, Believers for Trump across the country will work tirelessly to deliver President Trump a second term and retire Bidenās anti-faith agenda for good.
You can also buy a “Believers for Trump” T-Shirt, yard sign, or bumper sticker.
According to a recent Associated Press piece, the “Believers for Trump” campaign is targeting Black voters using Ben Carson.

Two students at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, both anti-abortion activists, protested at a Kamala Harris rally on campus. Harris told them that they were at the wrong rally. The students, Grant Beth and Luke Polaske, are speaking out to Fox News. Watch:
The students are using the incident to raise money for the pro-life movement.

Two writers at The Dispatch think it is good for Christians to engage politically. They write: “Politics-as-god is bad when the left does it with its totalizing statism, and it is bad when the right does it with its version.”

Many MAGA evangelicals believe that Kamala Harris has a “Jezebel spirit.” The Associated Press tries to define such a “spirit” with the help of several scholars. Lance Wallnau says it is a hit piece:
