Does Ron DeSantis really have a chance?

John Fea   |  January 16, 2024

No.

As I type I am watching DeSantis on a CNN Town Hall in New Hampshire. On Monday he said that he had a “ticket our of Iowa.” Maybe he meant a plane ticket back to Tallahassee, because there is no way forward for the Florida governor.

In New Hampshire (January 25), he is polling at under 10%.

In Nevada (February 8), he is polling at around 8%.

In South Carolina (February 24), he is polling around 7%.

In Michigan (March 3), he is polling at around 9%.

In Missouri (March 3), he is polling at around 14%.

If DeSantis drops out I imagine that much of his support will go to Trump.
