
We woke up to a thin layer of snow on the ground and more fluff gently falling from heavens above to the earth below. It makes the Russian-Jewish depths of my heart so nostalgically happy and reminds me of this song from my childhood–set to this beautiful poem of Boris Pasternak. The singer, Sergey Nikitin, has written and performed songs for decades with his wife, Tatiana.
Their song, “Lead me across the Maidan” became the song of the Ukrainian Maidan Revolution, which began ten years ago this month.
