

He recorded with Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Billy Joel, Duane Allman, Little Richard, The Who, Steve Winwood, and Mick Fleetwood and was one of the earliest “Christian rock” artists. In the 1980s he gained popularity for his recordings with his band “Broken Heart.” Mylon Lefevre provided much of the soundtrack of my early evangelical years and I still listen to his music today. Rest in peace.

My precious, strong and courageous husband laid hold of eternal life last night.
When we discussed heaven through the years, Mylon was most excited about receiving the soul winner’s crown. With his contemporary Christian rock band, Mylon and Broken Heart, he had the privilege of leading over 250,000 youth to Jesus. He cherished all the years of music ministry and the countless lives touched through his songs but his greatest joy was teaching the Word of God, especially through our broadcast, On the Road to Freedom.
