Mark Robinson is running for governor of North Carolina. Watch his speech at Ralph Reed’s Road to Majority conference:
Robinson was the first non-candidate to make an endorsement:
The right move [for America] is to get someone into office who puts America first, someone who understand that they are the president of the United States of America, not the president of the world…Vladimir Putin puts Russia first. The president of China puts China first. The man in Brazil puts Brazil first. The man in our office puts ice cream first. Today America needs a fighter indeed…someone who is willing to go onto the world stage walking boldly, strongly, waving the American flag saying “the Americans are here and we’re in charge again and we’re going to lead this world into the future with freedom.” That’s what America needs and that is why on this stage, today, I’m endorsing Donald J. Trump as the president of the United States of America in 2024. (Crowd goes wild).
Robinson talks about a “two-tier justice system.” Many Black Americans talk about such a justice system in terms of one justice system for Whites and one justice system for Blacks. But not Robinson: “We have a two-tiered justice system that has been weaponized against political enemies much like it was during Hitler’s reign and Mao’s reign, Stalin’s reign.” It is also interesting to hear a Black man say, “[we are not in] the United States that I remember as a child anymore.” (Make America Great Again?)
