Kevin McCarthy, with the help of Donald Trump, is Speaker of the House.

Here is what some of the members of the House Select Committee on January 6th are saying:

Liz Cheney:

“Just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen.”

Adam Kinzinger:

Says it all. Remember, Jewish space lasers and Sandy hook wasn’t real, that is what MTG believes. https://t.co/E35CBCxjau

Adam Schiff:

Looks like Kevin McCarthy conceded all the power of his office to the crazies to finally get their votes.

He had to give away the house to do it, and that was a sacrifice he was willing to make — for the title.

He will be a speaker in name only.

Jamie Raskin:

This is a body where James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, and Thaddeus Stevens once served. I don’t buy the GOP’s whole attack on science, but this week definitely casts doubt on the theory of evolution.

We never had to deal with this much chaos when George Santos was Speaker.
