Kevin Kruse returns to Twitter

John Fea   |  October 8, 2022

Get up to speed here and here. The Princeton historian is back after Cornell and Princeton cleared him of plagiarism charges. I will let him explain:

When it happened back in June, I decided that it would be best for me to stay off social media and all other media until Princeton and Cornell (my PhD institution) had time to look into the allegations.

That process took a bit longer than I'd hoped, but now it's finally done.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty at Princeton followed our procedures, convening an ad hoc committee to investigate allegations about my books. Thankfully, that process has concluded too.

The report will stay confidential, but I've been allowed to share the following text: pic.twitter.com/ZEsdGJ70UM

And I'm *incredibly* thankful for all the colleagues, co-workers, friends and even strangers who took the time to send me some very kind notes of support and solidarity as this all unfolded.

After all these months, I'm looking forward to moving on now.

I'll be back on Twitter in the coming days. (Yes, Sarge too.)

The fact that the alleged plagiarized, Ron Bayor (who I know), thought the charges were a crock, was all I needed to know.
