Scully was the best ever at what he did. I was fortunate to live in the LA area and had a little radio at the head of my bed and spent many a night listening to Vinnie call the Dodger game. He is responsible for me becoming a Dodger fan. No one in my family followed baseball. What a privilege I had to sort of sit at his feet for so many years.

You were a lucky man! My Vin Scully was Mets broadcaster Bob Murphy. He didn’t have the national reputation.
