Current is now well into its fourth month of publication. I hope you have found our daily features informative, educational, and entertaining. We are pleased with the kind of writers we are attracting to this little online magazine. While we are always looking to publish new and up-and-coming writers, but we are particularly proud of the fact that veteran intellectuals and culture critics such as Elisabeth Lasch-Quinn, Michael Kazin, George Marsden, Mark Schwehn, Daniel K. Williams, Tim Larsen, Philip Gorski, M. Elizabeth Carter, Tony Norman, Agnes Howard, Shirley Mullen, Randall Balmer, Alexandre Brasil Fonseca, and Susan McWilliams have all appeared in our “pages.” And many of them will continue to appear.
But like all little magazines, we can’t move forward much longer without additional support.
Fortunately, our editors have day jobs. None of us receives a cent for publishing Current. Right now, as Dorothy Sayers once said, we are “serving the work.” But we would at least like to pay our writers and get some part-time editorial help. (All our features go through a rigorous editorial process).
