What is going on in Evangelicalland?
Some evangelical pastors are afraid to recommend the COVID-19 vaccination because they don’t want to divide their congregations.
The big takeaway at the Presbyterian Church in America General Assembly was an overture on gay pastors. Here is Tim Keller:

I’m not sure what David Brody is saying here. Does he believe Nixon was innocent and Woodward and Bernstein were not good investigative reporters?:
Hologram preaching:
David Barton is hosting a “ProFamily Legislators Conference” in November. The all white male speakers list includes Tim Barton, Lance Wallnau, George Barna, Mat Staver, Jack Hibbs, Barry Loudermilk, Randy Forbes, Glenn Beck, and John Whitehead.
Tim Barton speaks at Gateway Church in Southlake Texas. He gets a standing ovation before he even opens his mouth. Watch how Barton references Crispus Attucks and James Armistead as a way to avoid the more complicated issues of race in the American Revolution. The rest is stuff his father has been saying for years. Young
A nice lineup:
Eric Metaxas interviews “prophet” Jonathan Cahn. We “learn” that Donald Trump is another King Jehu, a “wild man” who does much good for Israel by making a deal with the “religious conservatives” of the day, including Jehonadab (Mike Pence). Hillary Clinton is a prototype of Jezebel. The insurrection on the U.S Capitol was equivalent to the destruction of the “temple of Baal.” And there is much, much more. This makes Hal Lindsey’s The Late Great Planet Earth look like a children’s book. Watch:
Jack Hibbs does some Christian nationalist and pro-slavery history. He argues George Whitefield was somehow responsible for the American Revolution. He says that Washington was protecting his slaves because if he freed them they would have been killed. There are moments of this talk when he sounds like an antebellum slaveholder who said slavery was morally acceptable because slaveholders clothed and fed their slaves. He attacks “revisionized” history written by “someone in some office somewhere.” (Hibbs is speaking from Mount Vernon). Finally, Hibbs wants his listeners to imagine George Washington being raptured one day. For a more nuanced and historically accurate view click here. In the meantime, watch:
Robert Jeffress will prove it:
I have no idea what this means:
