What letter? Get up to speed here.
An array of responses:
I'm asking @drmoore to publicly reveal who made the racial slurs to him reported in this article. This is important for at least two reasons:

1. True racists need to be exposed and called to repent.
2. To make such an accusation and name no one is to effectively smear everyone. https://t.co/5x794BqGie
“Moore relates how an SBC leader questioned certain hires at the ERLC… ‘When I answered his concerns to his face, he said, “I was really just concerned about that black girl, whether she’s an egalitarian,”’”

The SBC-rot runs deep.https://t.co/XYLmLKkElh
The arrogance and paternalism of these guys is just shocking. Well, it would be if I wasn't already so used to it.

Trillia. I saw it and I’m so sorry for the kind of stupidity and sinfulness you’ve had to endure. I told one of my girls yesterday that I don’t know a woman of more integrity in Christ than you.

Thread and the backstory:
I returned to Twitter to say @JJ_Denhollander’s account of @SBCExecComm actions is accurate. I privately/respectfully begged @ronniefloyd & @SBCExecComm for mos to do the right/honest thing before it was too late for me to be okay. They refused. In writing. Repeatedly. Unkindly. https://t.co/6tCfH1Qxjo
— Jenlyell (@jenlyell) June 2, 2021
I again begged @ronniefloyd & the @SBCExecComm to please just do the right thing & not put me through another prolonged, disruptive ordeal by leaving me no option but to rely on legal measures to compel them to do what the Bible clearly necessitated. Again they refused.
— Jenlyell (@jenlyell) June 2, 2021
They have also refused repeated subsequent requests by me and current @SBCExecComm trustees including @pastorrolland and @JaredcWellman to meet w/me to discuss what happened as well as taking biblical responsibility. I do not have a NDA & can speak as freely as I wish on this.
— Jenlyell (@jenlyell) June 2, 2021
And yes, I settled the legal claim and thus accepted the terms (granted, without realistic alternate options given the time/path to trial). However, even if that were a righteous legal remedy (although it does not cover the damage they did), it’s still not a biblical remedy.

Here’s more:
Please read every word of Russell Moore's leaked letter to the ERLC Board of Trustees, especially these paragraphs. Read them and tell me the "real" challenge the church needs to face regarding race is CRT. Please. pic.twitter.com/fSE4uft2wy

My jaw dropped over the part about @trillianewbell:
— Sarah Pulliam Bailey ?️?️?️ (@spulliam) June 2, 2021
Moore relates how an SBC leader questioned certain hires. “When I answered his concerns to his face, he said, ‘I was really just concerned about that black girl, whether she’s an egalitarian.’”
There are half a dozen astonishing things about this letter. This is not even the most: "My family and I have faced constant threats from white nationalists and white supremacists, including within our convention." https://t.co/6maK652I7b
— Sam Haselby (@samhaselby) June 2, 2021
Read this. Horrifying. Vicious bigots and defenders of sexual abuse are a powerful force in the affairs of the SBC. These men are spitting on the Gospel. If they are not exposed and removed, how can SBC national leadership even claim to be serving Christ? https://t.co/vBwxYZKYeF
— Michael Gerson (@MJGerson) June 2, 2021
This is to ensure that you will forever understand that Russell Moore has always been a victim.
— Michael O'Fallon – Sovereign Nations (@SovMichael) June 2, 2021
A victim of trying to do what is wrong against the headwinds and aggressions of enemies that don't exist.
A victim that can get a shot on CNN whenever he wants.
This is an attempt at creating reflexivity.

Feedback loops off of the "leaked" (lol) letter from Russell Moore that was released by the RNS.
The invention of a pseudo-scandal to create a news story that will help to raise the preferred SBC dialectical candidates. https://t.co/3B5JgvEWER
Russell Moore's leaked letter is the epitome of passive aggressive cowardice combined with a toddler fit. pic.twitter.com/BloJdK2FxB
— Capstone Report (@CapstoneReport) June 2, 2021
Time to be honest: Russell Moore is more Democrat than Christian. He relishes slandering Christians. What does that make him?
