Watch the House minority leader:
McCarthy could be more original. Ted Cruz has already read Green Eggs and Hand in public. Here he is back in the days when he did not look like a contestant on Survivor:
I am assuming McCarthy is protesting the recent decision by Dr. Seuss Enterprises (the guardians of Seuss’s legacy) to take six Seuss books out of print for offensive language. If McCarthy believes in individual freedom and rights, then why is he so upset that the people in charge of preserving Seuss’s legacy made this decision? Is it possible to “cancel” oneself?
But even more strange is the fact that McCarthy is reading Green Eggs and Ham and NOT one of the books Seuss Enterprises pulled from print. Why isn’t he reading And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street or McElligot’s Pool or If I Ran the Zoo or If I Ran the Zoo or Scrambled Eggs Super! or The Cat’s Quizzer ?
I am confused.
