Evangelical historian John Fea says he is “rejoicing” in the fact that a Christian magazine has “finally stepped up to the plate” and called for U.S. President Donald Trump to be removed from office.
Trump on Friday lambasted Christian Today for publishing a scathing editorial that attacks the president’s “blackened moral record.”
Trump tweeted that the magazine, which was founded by the late Rev. Billy Graham, “would rather have a Radical Left nonbeliever, who wants to take your religion & your guns, than Donald Trump as your President.”
Editor-in-chief Mark Galli has stood by his words, telling told CNN the president’s characterization of the magazine as far left was “far from accurate.”
