Candidate for PA Governor Tells 18-Year- Old Voter That She is “Young and Naive” for Asking a Question About Climate Change

John Fea   |  July 20, 2018

Get the context here.  I am guessing that a lot of “young and naive” voters are going give Tom Wolf another term in November.  I am guessing that Bob Casey will also get some mileage out of this in his race against Lou Barletta.

I’ve been wondering a lot about how history is going to remember us. History is usually great for providing a kinship across generations when we face similar challenges. But when climates start changing our children won’t be able to ask us how prior generations dealt with a 2C global temperature rise. No generation has. Our kids will be alone at first as the first in human history to deal with it, and we will be the last generation who didn’t. Instead they’re interest in history will be to ask why we let this happen, and they probably aren’t going to like what it reveals about us.
