How the Humanities Can Shape Public Policy

Anna Sims Bartel, the Associate Director of Cornell University’s Center for Engaged Learning and Research, believes that we talk too much about how public policy can help the humanities and not enough about how the humanities can help public policy.

In a short interview with Maine Public Radio she urges us to move beyond our political and cultural “positions” and start listening to people who may not occupy the cultural space where we feel comfortable.
