It took 200 years, but Philadelphia has finally become the center of the Bible universe. Somewhere Bishop William White, Benjamin Rush, and the rest of the early Philadelphia Bible Society leadership are smiling. So is Elias Boudinot.
The ABS continues to promote the life-changing message of the Bible in the hopes that it will make a more Christian nation. The historic ABS Bible House will now be located in the place where the United States was founded. God and country, the Bible and freedom—I can’t help but think this is the way Boudinot, a native Philadelphian, would have wanted it.
