If you are looking for a place to attend church this weekend let me invite you to the Elizabethtown (PA) Brethren in Christ Church this Sunday for the next installment in the church’s “Christian Scholar Series.” In the 8:30 and 11:00 services I will be speaking about Abraham Lincoln’s use of the Sermon on the Mount in his Second Inaugural Address. In between services (starting at 10:10) I will be leading a Sunday School class on the topic of Christian America.
It is an honor for me to be part of a speaking series that has included Richard Mouw, Scot McKnight, Dennis Hollinger, and others.
