New High Tech Historical Markers in Cumberland County, New Jersey

I have spent a lot of time in Cumberland County, New Jersey.  It is the home of Greenwich, the place where Philip Vickers Fithian was born and raised and the site of my ongoing book project on the way this local community remembers its past.

I just learned today that the Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission has created a series of podcast signs which have been placed on some of the county’s most noted historical sites.  I have never seen anything like this before.  Matt Pisarski explains in this video:
