Lincoln’s 1865 Letter to U.S. Grant Concerning Robert Todd Lincoln

I just watched Lincoln the other day (for the first time–perhaps more on this later) and was quite taken by the portrayal of the relationship between Abraham and his eldest son Robert.  Here Matthew Pinsker dissects the 1865 letter Lincoln wrote to Grant requesting that the general find a place for Robert in the army.
