Our “So What CAN You Do With a History Major?” series has gotten some attention of late from a few history departments around the country.
Paul Harvey at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs recommends it to his students.
Gabriel Loiacono at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh discusses it here.
Jared Burkholder at Grace College endorses it.
Chris Gehrz at Bethel College shares some examples from the series with his students.
It seems as if this series has been useful to history professors and students. With that in mind, I would like to ramp things up a bit over the next few months by adding some more posts.
If you were a history major who can honestly say that you learned skills that have been transferable to your current job, career, or vocation, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU and possibly feature you in an upcoming “So What CAN You Do With a History Major” feature. It doesn’t matter if you are working in a career or pursuing a vocation that has already been covered in the series. Everyone brings a unique perspective to how a history major informs their work.
I hope you will consider this.
