Our local Borders Bookstore in Camp Hill, PA is going out of business. Everything must go. At the moment, they are selling stuff at anywhere from 30% to 70% off. After my daughter’s soccer game tonight we decided to stop by and see what we could find.
I scored the following books:
Pauline Maier, Ratification: The People Debate the Constitution, 1787-1788.
William Hogeland, Declaration: The Nine Tumultuous Weeks When America Became Independent.
Woody Holton, Abigail Adams
Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, The Age of Homespun.
I should also add that my fourth grader picked up a copy of The Diary of Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth.
The Age of Homespun and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Great combination, and both books I enjoy!
Thanks, Janet. I actually need to read the Age of Homespun for the material culture directed study I am doing! Perfect timing!
I would love to see that reading list, if you're willing to share!
