According to the good folks at Westminster/John Knox Press, Was America Founded as a Christian Nation: A Historical Introduction has just been printed and is on its way to the press’s Nashville warehouse. It is scheduled to ship on February 16.
Byron Borger, the proprietor of Hearts & Minds Bookstore in Dallastown, PA, will be running the book exhibit at Jubilee, a conference for Christian undergraduates being held next weekend in Pittsburgh. (See the program here and a post on my sessions here). Byron may be able to get some very early copies of the book and have them for sale in Pittsburgh. There is a good chance that Jubilee may be the first time I see a copy! Here is a snippet from Borger’s recent blog post:
Just today I was negotiating the shipment of a very innovative architecture book rethinking notions of “sacred space” (see the stunning website of their award-winning design firm VisioneeringStudios) hoping it arrives in time. And we’re trying to figure if historian John Fea’s forthcoming book that is slated to release from the bindery just next week—Was America Founded as a Christian Nation?: A Historical Introduction (WJK; $30.00)–will be shipped to our site in time. He will be there, and won’t have seen it yet. We will have it before the Westminster/John Knox warehouse, Lord willing, so that will be very fun.
I am looking forward to Jubilee. Not only will I get a chance to see my book for the first time and get a chance to share my love of history, but I will also have my 13-year old daughter tagging along!
