Historians TV

John Fea   |  January 2, 2009 1 Comment

The annual meeting of the American Historical Association(AHA) is going on this weekend in New York. I will be getting into New York for the tail end of the conference, but if I were interested in following some of the conference’s big events and sessions it looks as if I will be able to do so through Historians TV. This is a web TV channel “dedicated to covering the events and issues of importance to history professionals in research, and education.” I tuned in this morning and watched short pieces on the history departments at Princeton, Murray State, UMass- Boston, and James Madison as well as a a mini-documentary on the new Smithsonian museum of African American history. Apparently this channel will also be available in the conference hotel rooms.

There have been no programs on Historians TV related to the AHA annual meeting yet, but the conference just got underway today. Stay tuned.
