The last few days I have been listening to a great volume of the Mars Hill Audio Journal. Volume 91 is loaded with interviews related to American history, politics, and democracy. (I know I am a bit behind in my listening–I believe volume 92 is already out but I, unfortunately, have let my subscription run out). The CD includes the following interviews:
Daniel Walker Howe on his Pulitzer Prize winning book, What Hath God Wrought.
John Witte Jr. on the life of his mentor, political theorist Harold Berman.
Hugh Brogan on his biography of Alexis de Tocqueville.
Patrick Deneen on individualism and community in America.
