Blogging from Bluffton (Ohio)

John Fea   |  September 18, 2008 1 Comment

I arrived in the quiet Ohio town of Bluffton this afternoon for the biennial meeting of the Conference on Faith and History. Today was devoted to the undergraduate conference–a great opportunity for college students and recent college graduates to present their work. (I hope my Messiah College students are taking note of this opportunity!). This evening the academics arrive. We will be treated to a lecture by Calvin College’e Joel Carpenter: “The Christian Historian in an Age of World Christianity.” Tomorrow begins a full slate of panels and sessions.

I had a chance to read Lauran’s plenary address for the undergrad conference. Fabulous work. I’m excited for the work she has done and is doing with the CFH. The program looks strong, especially the presenter for the state of early American history panel! Look forward to your blogging in Bluffton!
