Candidates Forum on Service

John Fea   |  September 12, 2008 Leave a Comment

Tonight I am watching McCain and Obama at the Candidates Forum on Service which is being held at Columbia University. It is clear that both candidates have made “service to country” an essential part of what it means to be an American. It is hard to argue with much of what they are saying tonight.

I have a real issue with tonight’s event. McCain went first, so Obama knew all the questions in advance. Is this fair? Where was the “cone of silence” that we saw at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Forum?
