Today I received the “Cumberland County Patriot,” the newsletter of the Cumberland County (NJ) Historical Society. One of the highlights in the newsletter was the schedule for next month’s (Sept. 27-28) commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Greenwich Tea Burners Monument. (See my earlier post on this event). It looks as if I will be giving a book talk on The Way of Improvement Leads Home. You may remember that Philip Vickers Fithian may have been one of the participants in this 1774 Boston Tea Party copycat act.
